The revolutionary SawStop protection starts here! This SawStop Brake Cartridge for 8" dado blades fits all models of SawStop table saws, except older industrial models. Current SawStop models use cartridges with blue tinted plastic cases and 9-pin connectors. If you have an older model with a clear case and a 15-pin connector, you will need a different cartridge; please call SawStop for details. Yes. It is compatible with standard 8‑inch dado stacks up to 13/16" wide on compatible SawStop saws.
Does the blade have to be completely dry/clean for the brake to function?
No. The brake still works with a normal amount of dust or pitch, but excessive moisture, wet lumber, or heavy buildup can cause false activation, so clean and dry blades are recommended.
